Environmental & Sustainability Policy.
Cleaning your property properly and looking after the local environment aren't in competition — here's how we approach both.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Our approach
As a small, local, family-run business, we don't have a large corporate sustainability programme — but we do think about the impact of how we work, both for our customers and for the local area we live and work in. This page sets out honestly what we already do, rather than making claims we can't back up.
2. Pure water technology
Our standard window cleaning is carried out using a pure water fed pole system rather than traditional detergent-and-squeegee methods. Water is purified to remove minerals, so it dries naturally without leaving streaks or residue — meaning no soap or chemical run-off from your windows into your garden, drains or the surrounding area.
3. Reduced chemical use
Where cleaning products are used — for example on fascias, soffits and cladding — we use them as sparingly as the job allows, and favour hot water and pressure over heavy chemical treatments wherever it achieves the same result. Hot washing lifts black spot mould and algae mechanically rather than relying on strong chemical treatments.
4. Water use
Pure water fed pole systems use water efficiently compared with traditional bucket-and-hose cleaning, since the system applies only what's needed to each surface rather than running continuously.
5. Local, low-mileage rounds
We're based in Darlington and work almost exclusively across Darlington and the immediately surrounding area. Jobs are scheduled into local rounds rather than one-off trips across the region, which keeps unnecessary driving to a minimum.
6. Waste & packaging
We keep the products and consumables we use to a minimum, and dispose of any waste from a job — for example debris cleared from gutters — responsibly, rather than leaving it on site or with the customer to deal with.
7. Ongoing commitment
We're a young business, and this policy will develop as we grow — including looking at electric or hybrid vehicles for the round as it becomes practical to do so. If there's something specific you'd like to know about how a job will be carried out, just ask us directly.
